Having my own Project Runway Moment

So, I’m going to a wedding this coming weekend and my mom was sweet enough to buy me a new dress. I really dug the pattern (feathers), but as you can see in the “Before” picture, the fit was slightly less than flattering. A little frumpsville, if you ask me. So I figured, hey I’m crafty. I have a sewing machine. Let’s give this a shot. And I have to say I’m pretty pleased with the outcome (especially since I don’t *really* know all the in’s and out’s of sewing):
